These are photos I took on the M fernandes, a boat on the Amazon river. The captain of the M Fernandes welcomed me on his boat and offered me to stay after finding out about my visa problems. I stayed on the boat for almost two weeks - we traveled slowly up the river, stopped to unload and reload in Tabatinga / Leticia ( the tri-border with Peru, Colombia and Brazil) and went back down the river to Manaus. Throughout this trip I became attached to the people on the boat especially my hammock neighbours - a young family. The M Fernandes stopped in many places along the river where passengers and freights changed. The M Fernandes never stops for long and its crew and staff are her permanent resident.
